BIOSKETCH
Belinda Malinga graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Westville Campus. She completed her community service at Eshowe District Hospital and Cato Manor Community Health Centre. Thereafter, she furthered her studies and obtained a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. With several years of experience in both the public and private sectors, she has gained significant experience in both paediatric care, with a special interest in learning disabilities, and in mental health, focusing on adolescents and adults.Recently, Belinda has developed an interest in research and a passion for student development. She is currently involved in supervising and lecturing students from first through fourth year in the Occupational Therapy program at UKZN. Additionally, she serves as the module coordinator for the second-year Therapeutic Media module and the fourth-year Psychosocial Theory and Fieldwork module.
